Welcome to Hunt Valley Cashmere. The only current content is the information about our square of the (every other month) club although we have several brave knitters turning out a square every month.

I debuted my cashmere Afghan at one of the only two shows that I do each year - MD Sheep and Wool and Stitches. It was a huge, resounding success. The Afghans are very beautiful and luxurious. We have over 100 knitters in the club and it keeps growing. I will be working away at some project in my office, when out of the blue, a new square application pops out of my fax machine. It's such fun!

I have three sizes of Afghans knit to put on display made with various weights of yarn. The smaller of the three is made with a four ply yarn which is a perfect sport or DK weight - perfect for a lighter blankie to cozy up with. HVC eight ply yarn makes the run-away best selling afghan kit and the most sensual, soft, amazing heavier weight throw in existence. It is truly a marvel to feel and see. It makes you want to rip your clothes off and snuggle under it - alone. That's how wonderful it is! The twelve ply bulky weight yarn makes a very warm, heavier blanket for those souls who live in climates that call for that extra warmth.

So, join our club and before you know it, you or somebody that you love will be snuggling up to a very beautiful cashmere Afghan.

Square of the Month Club

4 PLY:

Every other month you will receive enough Hunt Valley Cashmere to complete one 4-ply square. At the end of your shipments you will have enough yarn left over from the squares to complete the border!

Your first square kit, priced at $34, comes with the book, the Great American Aran Afghan, and the yarn to knit your first square. Every other month, during the first week of the month, you will receive your next shipment of yarn for $24. All shipments will be charged a $4.00 shipping and handling fee, with the exception of the first shipment, which will be a $6.50 shipping and handling fee (due to the weight of the book).

You can cancel at any time. You can return your unused yarn, knitted squares or any combination there of, if you so desire, up to one year after the beginning of the club.

8 PLY:
Every other month you will receive two skeins 8-ply Hunt Valley Cashmere. This will be enough yarn to complete one square, if you knit the squares in the order listed. In order to make this project in the most economical way possible, we have ordered the squares in such a way that the squares that use the least yarn are done first leaving left over yarn to complete later squares. The list will be shipped with your first order.

Your first square kit, priced at $58, comes with the book, the Great American Aran Afghan, and the yarn to knit your first square. Every other month, during the first week of the month, you will receive your next shipment of yarn for $48. All shipments will be charged a $5.00 shipping and handling fee, with the exception of the first shipment, which will be a $7.50 shipping and handling fee (due to the weight of the book).

To complete the 8-ply afghan border, you will need to purchase approximately 8 extra skeins of 8-ply yarn. You may purchase them in any quantity over the time period, OR you may wish to continue to receive two skeins every other month for the next four shipping dates. You can check this option on the bottom of the club registration form or you can decide that later.

12 PLY:
Every other month you will receive two skeins 12-ply Hunt Valley Cashmere. This will be enough yarn to complete one square, if you knit the squares in the order listed. In order to make this project in the most economical way possible, we have ordered the squares in such a way that the squares that use the least yarn are done first leaving left over yarn to complete later squares.
